Kelkoo Price Comparison Wordpress Plugin By David Fiske
Display a price comparison box on post pages, with results powered by Kelkoo.
Introduction
Kelkoo runs an affiliate program on the Tradedoubler network. They offer an API which means their price comparison results can be shown on third party websites
This widget combines the two and adds managed price comparison results to your WordPress powered website, letting you earn money from sales via Kelkoo.

See it in action on a live client site at DSLR: Canon EOS 500D. This client is using the UK version of the Kelkoo API.
Screenshots
This is the settings page where you can change the master settings for the plugin. These determine how the plugin works.
Here is the box added beneath each post admin page where you can specify the category ID and/or search keyword for that post.
Instead of a search term (e.g. iPod) you could use the product ID code from Kelkoo for more accurate results as we have done here:
Here is an example of the price comparison block shown beneath each post to visitors. This particular example showcases the Dyson DC25 using a category ID and product ID.
Notice how if you add logos to the logos folder, they display instead of the text on the right hand side. These results have been ordered by reverse price order as per my settings page. I have also cropped this image as 10 results is quite a long image :-)
Price, Buy and Download
The Kelkoo Price Comparison Wordpress Plugin is a paid plugin and is available at a cost of £60 with free support and upgrades.
Pay with PayPal and within a short space of time (usually a few hours but please allow up to 48 hours), I will email you a download link. This can be used to get the latest version of the plugin at any time. Please bear in mind that the order process is manual and I need to generate a link for you which I can only do when I'm online.

The plugin has been tested with version 2.9.2 of Wordpress though it should work perfectly well with older and newer versions.
This plugin works with these Kelkoo websites: Belgium (French); Belgium (Flemish); Denmark; France; Germany; Italy; Netherlands; Norway; Spain; Sweden; United Kingdom. By changing the country, the currency will change to the specified value for that country. For example, France will be set to "€", etc.
This plugin currently uses version 3 of the Kelkoo API.
Requirements
You will need:
- A Tradedoubler account
- A partnership within Tradedoubler with Kelkoo
- Kelkoo API login credentials
- WordPress, on a PHP server with SimpleXML and Curl/Fopen enabled.

Customising The Box
The box can be customised by editing the CSS file found within the Kelkoo Price Comparison plugins folder.
The deals box is outputted as XHTML 1.0 Strict and the CSS validates to level 2.1.
Updates
